Six OSSB book club members
and three co-facilitators
meet at the Target café
at Graceland mall.In the Spotlight

Nov. 14, 2007, was the start of a new Next Chapter Book Club at the Ohio State School for the Blind. The six members are students at OSSB. The three co-facilitators are members of the Ohio Young Adult Transition Corps: Hillary Jones, Scott Brown and Kelly Ferrell.

The club meets every other Wednesday at the Target café at Graceland mall in Columbus, Ohio, and at the OSSB campus on alternate weeks.

Sixteen clubs gathered for a Monster Mash in Columbus, Ohio, to celebrate Halloween in October 2006. Roy won the costume contest hands down! Roy's winning Halloween costume had a pink hat and pink tie with black diamonds, yellow jacket with black dots, and green pants with black diamonds. He also wore a colorful wig.
Laura wore a purple sweater and purple scarf. Her costume had purple and white butterfly wings and a flowered headband. Laura, a runner-up in the costume contest, is a member of three clubs in Columbus.

Jillian's costume was a giant fried egg with her face inside the yellow yolk. Jeffrey wore a black wizard's cap with gold moons and stars. His mask had a big nose, bushy white eyebrows, a mustache and long white beard.Jillian (program coordinator) and Jeffrey welcome newcomers to the Monster Mash.
Sonya, as an Ethiopian queen, was another runner-up in the costume contest. Sonya dressed as an Ethiopian queen in a white gown with white gauze cape. Her high crown was red and gold with large jewels in front.
Mark wore a red plaid shirt and blue jeans with a scary pirate mask. It had a wrinkled face, big nose and ears, gaps in his teeth, a black patch over one eye, and a long black mustache and beard.Mark was a dangerous pirate at the Monster Mash.
Janice, Dixie (support staff), and Tracy appeared as three witches at the Monster Mash. Three witches sat at a table with tall black caps, long black capes, red cheeks and red noses.
Kara wore a blue lab tech's coat over a gray T-shirt. Tom wore a wig, sunglasses, and blue Hawaiian shirt. Bethany wore blue medical scrubs and had her right arm in a white sling.Kara, Tom (program director), and Bethany at the Monster Mash.
Kimberly enjoyed the Graeter's ice cream at the Monster Mash. Kimberly's costume was a big orange ball with colorful patches in blue, yellow and green. She had short blond hair with bangs and rosy cheeks.
Angela was an angel with white and gold gown, white wings, and a gold crown. Monica wore a cowgirl hat, blue denim jacket, white jeans and a gold belt with her hair in braids. Del was dressed in white as a doctor with a stethoscope. His support staff was wearing a red cap and gray sweatshirt.Angela, Monica, Del, and a support staff at the Monster Mash.
Rashai and Stephanie at the Monster Mash. Rashai dressed as an orange jack-o-lantern with black triangle eyes and nose on her shirt. Stephanie was an Ohio State Buckeye fan with a red shirt, white number 10, buckeye necklace, and a white visor.
